In 2021, Korea and Indonesia will have an event for film enthusiasts throughout Indonesia, namely the Korea Indonesia Film Festival 2021. This event will be held at CGV Grand Indonesia (Jakarta City) and CGV Paris Van Java (Bandung city) from 28-31 October 2021.
The magnificent Indonesian cinema theater with sophistication.
Ticket prices are affordable too. Line Up KIFF 2021, consisting of 11 films including 2 Indonesian films and 8 Korean films as well as 1 cooking reality show between a Chef from Korea and a talent from Indonesia.
On this occasion, I had the opportunity to attend the opening ceremony of the Korea Indonesia Film Festival 2021 which took place at CGV Grand Indonesia around 5 pm. With strict health protocols, keep wearing masks and keep your distance this event will continue in an orderly manner.
Around 6 pm, the event started with remarks from the Director of the Korean Cultural Center Indonesia, Mr. Kim Yong Woon.
He said that he was very happy with the KIFF event because it became one of the cultural exchanges and entertainment for the two countries. Hopefully in the future, there will be more events like this. The event continued with a performance of Buchaechum or a beautiful Korean fan dance.
Buchaechum's performance became an attraction in itself for several invited guests who attended.
I myself also captured this show using a camera in video and photo formats.
After that, guests watched a Korean film entitled "SINKHOLE", directed by Kim Ji-hoon and starring Cha Seung-won, Kim Sung-kyun, Lee Kwang-soo and Kim Hye-jun. SINKHOLE is a disaster comedy genre film with a duration of 117 minutes. A suspenseful film because behind the tragedy there are still many comedic sides. During the screening of the film I was very entertained and laughed with the various comedies in this film.
Overall, I enjoyed during the event. Hopefully more Indonesian people will be interested in watching Korean films.
In my opinion, the advantage of Korean films is that the cinematography is very good, it can be a reference for directors in Indonesia.
